Fidel Castro’s son Antonio triumphed at the fifth annual Montecristo Cup golf tournament held in his native country at the weekend.

VARADERO, Cuba, April 29 (R-Sport) - Fidel Castro’s son Antonio triumphed at the fifth annual Montecristo Cup golf tournament held in his native country at the weekend.

The Cuban revolution leader's son showed the best result on the 3.5-kilometer golf course on the coastline of Varadero, 140 kilometers east of Havana.

The tournament featured over 100 players from 15 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK and Spain.

The 42 year old is a vice president of the Switzerland-based International Baseball Federation and the deputy head of the Cuban baseball federation.
