MOSCOW, November 19 (R-Sport) - The Russian Premier League’s last-placed club, Mordovia Saransk, parted company with coach Fyodor Shcherbachenko on Monday following a miserable run of form.
Mordovia have just eight points from 16 games in their debut season in the top flight, and have won just one of their last 13 matches.
“Today an agreement was reached to terminate the contract with the coach,” Mordovia said in a website statement.
It was not immediately clear whether the termination was by mutual consent.
Assistant coach Vladimir Bibikov will take temporary charge ahead of Mordovia’s away game at 12th-placed FC Rostov on Friday.
Shcherbachenko is the fifth coach to depart since the season began, and the third in the space of five days, after fellow strugglers Alania Vladikavkaz and Krylya Sovetov each saw changes at the top.
