Azerbaijan will not have any problems when they face Russia in a World Cup qualifier on artificial turf in Moscow, coach Berti Vogts said Monday.

Tuesday's game takes place at Moscow's vast Luzhniki stadium, where the artificial surface has seen some unexpected home wins, such as a victory over England in 2007 and Portugal's 1-0 defeat to Russia on Friday.

"We will not, as many other rivals of the Russia squad, grumble about the pitch,” Vogts said.

“There are many artificial pitches in Azerbaijan, so there is nothing special about it. It will not affect my team’s performance.”

Russia lead Group F by three points with a 100 percent record in three games and no goals conceded.

Azerbaijan are fifth in the group with one point from two games, above only Luxembourg.
