Czech NHL forwards Jiri Hudler and Jakub Voracek have signed lockout contracts in their homeland with KHL team Lev Prague, the Russian-based league confirmed Tuesday.

Calgary Flames left wing Hudler, 28, already has KHL experience as he played for Gagarin Cup winner Dynamo Moscow in season 2009-2010.

Hudler signed a four-year contract with the Flames in July after spending seven seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, winning the Stanley Cup in 2008.

Philadelphia Flyers right wing Voracek returned to the Czech Republic after spending three seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets and one year in Philadelphia.

The 23-year-old player won the World Championships with his national team in 2010.

Lev, relocated this season from the Slovak city of Poprad , is currently leading the overall standings in the KHL after five victories in six games.

The deadline for averting a lockout passed Saturday after the NHL and the players’ association failed to agree terms on a new collective contract.

It sparked a flurry of trades, the highest-profile of which has been Evgeni Malkin's return to Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
