MOSCOW, June 1 (RIA Novosti) -Russia's No. 1 and the world's No. 2 tennis-player Maria Sharapova lost to Belgium's Justine Henin-Hardenne in the quarter-final of the French Open on Tuesday. She explained the reasons for her defeat to Russian Gazeta daily.

The Russian tennis-player who referred to this match as a very useful one said Justine took the upper hand above all because of the better service. According to Sharapova, she is upset after each defeat but thinks one cannot be always a winner. "I've lost today but time will pass and I will be at the top again."

Sharapova said she would be very much surprised if Hardenne failed to win the Roland Garros tournament. For her part, she would be happy to take part in a Wimbledon competition and play on a grass court she appreciates so much.

"If even there is a certain fuss around me, it'll be O.K. because I'll be able to remember the pleasant moments of the competition last year," the Russian tennis star said.

Sharapova plans to take a rest before Grand Slam tournaments and, perhaps, even to undergo some rehabilitation treatment in Paris.
