Christmas was nearly cancelled as the iconic red vehicle, famous from the Coca-cola Christmas commercials, got stuck in a rural area in Lincolnshire, Britain, to the locals’ utmost disappointment.

Hordes of people in Gainsborough, UK, stood waiting in vain for the truck to come. It was supposed to arrive at 11 in the morning packed with a thousand of free cans of soft drinks to be given away to the crowd, and then continue its trip around Britain.

An hour later a local, Molly Watson, caught a glimpse of it as it got stuck in a muddy field, having taken a wrong turn, as it became known. She promptly shared the news and the picture on Facebook.

In actual fact, the holidays are coming, indeed so, since the truck safely reached its next destination, Marshall’s Yard shopping center in Alison Hall, without delay.
