The brave wife of a Taiwanese man rescued her husband from being attacked by a half-naked man with a machete in the middle of the road.

A video is going viral on YouTube showing a fight between a group of Taiwanese people in which a woman in an apron is seen pushing away an angry drunk man who was swinging a machete, online newspaper Daily Mirror reported.

The conflict occurred in the middle of the street in Taichung City, where the fight was caught on video from a passing car. The video shows a half-naked man with a machete hitting a man who falls to the ground. Suddenly a woman appears in a red sweater and an apron.

She pushes the armed attacker and drags him away from the victim by the waistband of his trousers, while another woman helps the victim from the ground.

It later became known that the victim was Mr. Chu, who, along with his wife, was renting a room for a restaurant in the area. The half-naked armed man was their landlord.

That day the landlord got drunk and came to demand 9,000 Taiwanese dollars (about $300) to pay two months’ worth of utility bills.

Mr Chu's wife has been praised on social media and has been named the "kung fu wife."

As a result of the conflict, no one was hurt. All three of the participants in the scuffle were taken to a police station.
