Some 100,000 Syrian Refugees to Return Home From Turkey Until 2018
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the data obtained by The Independent, only 288 out of 5,529 refugees resettled under the Vulnerable Persons Relocation Programme (VPRP) between January 2014 and April 2017 were disabled.

At the same time, the figures provided by the Handicap International showed that about 22 percent of Syrian refugees settled in Lebanon and Jordan had serious impairments.

The Labour Party criticized the UK government, saying that the finding had marked an "all new low" and that the Home Office’s treatment of refugees was not in line with the country’s values.

In February, The Independent reported that the UK government had stopped accepting child refugees with disabilities as it could not address their needs.
