"Even as Trump's clashes with the media continue, Americans' views of the way media have treated Trump seem mostly fixed," a press release explaining the poll stated.
The release noted that the recent Twitter spat between Trump and MSNBC co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski failed to change the pattern.
"These data are virtually unchanged from March, suggesting that the lines have been drawn in this battle," the release said.
With Republicans believing the media are too harsh toward Trump — and Democrats saying the media are not harsh enough — these familiar partisan lines are likely to persist as this presidency continues, the release concluded.
Since Trump assumed office, many US media outlets, including CNN, have accused the US president's team of having ties to the Kremlin. Trump has refuted these allegations and labelled the media involved in these speculations "fake news."
Previously, the US president also slammed the "failing" The New York Times, as well as CNN, NBC ABC and CBS over allegedly being "the enemy of the American People" and several other US media outlets over "fake news" reports.
