South Africa's National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has issued an arrest warrant for Olympic and Paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius, the eNews Channel Africa reported Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the ENCA, the NPA "only plans to enforce it next week, when Pistorius is expected to apply for bail."

On Thursday, South Africa's Supreme Court of Appeal overturned a lower court’s verdict of culpable homicide, and found Pistorius guilty of murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in February 2013 when the athlete shot her four times through a locked toilet door.
