BALI (Sputnik) — The typhoon entered the northern Philippine province of Cagayan early in the day.

The number of Filipinos who were evacuated to temporary shelters has risen to nearly 5,500, local media reported, citing police sources and local authorities. The typhoon has damaged more than 150 houses and broke the power supply in some settlements.
