KOKTEBEL, September 12 (RIA Novosti), Nadezhda Kulikova - The opening ceremony of the Koktebel Jazz Party has officially begun in Koktebel, one of the most popular resort towns in Crimea.
Rossiya Segodnya Director General Dmitry Kiselev welcomed guests to the festival and offered them to a drink and something to eat while listening to the best of jazz music.
The opening ceremony, held on the Voloshin stage, one of the festival’s three stages, is being attended by Russia’s Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky and art director of the festival Mikhail Ikonnikov, among others.
The Koktebel Jazz Party, taking place in Crimea’s Koktebel on September 12-15, promises to be one of the most exciting cultural events in Crimea in 2014. Located on the beach, the open-air stages will host live music by performers from Russia, Armenia, Brazil, the United States, Israel, the UK, India, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Journalists and other guests from all over the world have gathered in Koktebel alongside musicians.
The Koktebel Jazz Party organized by Rossiya Segodnya Information Agency in conjunction with Russia’s Ministry of Culture is the first high-profile international event in Crimea since reunification with Russia.
