ST. PETERSBURG, August 4 (RIA Novosti, Anna Novak) - One German tourist was killed and 22 people wounded in a road accident involving a coach and a truck here Thursday, a representative for the Leningrad Region traffic police said.
A department spokesman said 19 German citizens were wounded in the crash, along with two drivers and a tour guide, all Russians. There were a total of 27 people on the bus.
"Those injured are being treated in city hospitals. The German consulate was immediately informed of the accident and the consul came to the scene of the crash," the representative said.
The traffic police fault the driver of the coach for not yielding to the truck before making a turn.
