The mission marked the first time people were sent to space from the US soil since the Space Shuttle Program ended in 2011.

Watch a live broadcast as two NASA astronauts are expected to return to the Earth aboard a Space X Crew Dragon capsule on Sunday.

The splashdown is scheduled for 18:42 GMT. 

Astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley departed the International Space Station on 1 August, riding the same spacecraft they arrived on at the end of May. The mission marked the first time people were sent to space from American soil since the end of the Space Shuttle Program in 2011.
