'Heavenly Palace': China to Launch Two Manned Space Missions This Fall
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The aim of the drill held in northwest China this Sunday was to simulate the situation three hours before the launch which is considered the most critical moment, People's Daily reported.

All components and parts of Tiangong-2 and the carrier rocket Long March II are said to be in good condition.

Tiangong-2 is scheduled for launch in mid-September. Two astronauts will spend 30 days on the station and conduct two experiments, CCTV-America reported.

Tiangong-2 is expected to carry out 14 types of experiments concentrating on space materials and space life. The station also serves as a precursor to a future permanent manned space station, which China plans to put into operation in 2022.
