"The launch of Orbital ATK’s Cygnus spacecraft is scheduled for Thursday, March 10, during a 30-minute window that opens at approximately 3 a.m. EST [08:00 GMT]," NASA said on Saturday adding that "Cygnus will launch on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station (CCAFS) in Florida."
The cargo spacecraft will bring crew supplies and vehicle hardware to the ISS.
The previous Cygnus resupply mission was launched in December 2015. It was Orbital ATK’s fourth resupply mission to the ISS under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) contract with the company.
Virginia-based Orbital ATK’s current contract with NASA expires in 2017. Earlier this month, NASA selected Orbital ATK, as well as Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) Space Systems and SpaceX, to deliver cargo to the ISS in 2019-2024.
