Vladislav Surkov, Russian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of innovations and science, has been appointed deputy chairman of the government’s modern technologies and innovation commission.
A decree to appoint Surkov to the post appeared on the government’s website on Monday.
Former Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov and Vyacheslav Volodin, who lost their government jobs in December 2011, were excluded from the commission.
