A 16-year-old goalkeeper from Russian football club Znamya Truda, Ivan Zaborovsky, has been taken to an intensive care unit after being struck by lightning during practice, the club announced on its account on the Russian social network Vkontakte.
Caption: We had an accident today at a training session. Our young goalkeeper Ivan Zaborovsky got hit by lightning, he is now in intensive care. Hopefully, everything turns out alright for him.
The team, playing in the Russian Professional Football League, finished eleventh this season which had to be wrapped up early due to the coronavirus pandemic.
