Deadly Elegant: Russian MoD Releases Video Teaser of White Swan Bombers

Last week Russian media reported citing an anonymous source in the Defence Ministry, that the strategic bombers could be equipped with state of the art hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, which are able to manoeuver mid-flight to penetrate enemy defences.

Russia’s Defence Ministry has released a video of White Swan bombers, showing a squadron of jets during military exercises. The ministry said that during the exercises pilots were tasked with flying Tu-160 jets at low and medium altitudes, overcoming enemy defences and hitting ground targets, while maintenance crews prepared jets for flights.

The ministry noted that the exercises were conducted in poor weather conditions with pilots required to perform manoeuvers in low clouds, wind gusts and precipitation.
