The condition of former Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov after hospitalization is "satisfactory," a source close to Luzhkov said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Doctors consider medical condition of former Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov after hospitalization as "satisfactory," a source close to Luzhkov said Friday.

"Yuri Luzhkov is feeling fine and remains conscious," the source told RIA Novosti.

Luzhkov was hospitalized earlier on Friday during a meeting at the Moscow State University reportedly because of low blood pressure.

Luzhkov's representative Gennady Terebkov earlier denied rumors that the former mayor had suffered clinical death.
