    Russia needs to strengthen cyberdefense in different fields, increase stability of financial system, public administration and infrastructure, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — He stressed that efforts should be focused on the spheres with powerful technological potential, for instance digital technologies.

    "It also should be noted that there are hidden risks in digital technologies. It is necessary to strengthen security against cyber threats, to considerably increase sustainability of all elements of infrastructure, financial system, system of public administration," Putin said in his annual Federal Assembly address.

    Putin also suggested launching a large-scale program aimed at developing digital economy.
