    Putin Signs Decree on Oreshkin Appointment as Economic Development Minister

    Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday signed a decree appointing Deputy Finance Minister Maksim Oreshkin the country's new economic development minister, the Kremlin press service said.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The decree comes into force on the day of signing, according to the Kremlin's statement.

    Oreshkin, 34, said at a meeting with Putin earlier in the day that his main goal during the first year in the office would be creation of conditions for boosting the country's economic growth.
