MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The best times to visit the Russian capital are in May and October, but next year, the FIFA Confederations Cup Russia soccer matches will provide a special attraction in June and July, according to the National Geographic travel guide published last week.
"National Geographic included Moscow in its top-7 world cities to travel to in 2017. By the way, the magazine's experts recommend to visit not only Kremlin and the Red Square, but also VDNKH [the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy] and metro," Sobyanin wrote on his VKontakte social media page.
The other cities on the list are South Korea's Seoul, United States' Anchorage, Spain's Madrid, Morocco's Marrakech, Colombia's Cartagena and Germany's Hamburg.
