MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The event, already in its 12th year, was originally conceived to provide a platform for the dialogue between business and government.
The forum features discussion of the most significant current events in the economic relationship between Russia and the United Kingdom. This year's agenda includes the future of Russian-British trade relations, economic and business climate in Russia and the UK, investment in the industrial sector and potential of the Russian IT and communications industry.
Key figures of the bilateral business relations were invited to take part, as well as experts in spheres such as finance and investment. The guest list includes Prince Michael of Kent, BP Vice President Peter Charow, Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs President Alexander Shokhin, Head of Sales and Marketing Department of Orange Business Services in Russia & CIS David Holden among others.
Since 2014, relations between Russia and the European Union, including the United Kingdom, deteriorated amid the crisis in Ukraine. Brussels, Washington and their allies have introduced several rounds of anti-Russia sanctions over Moscow's alleged involvement in the Ukrainian conflict, which the Kremlin has denied.
