MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed hope Wednesday the seventh convocation of the Russian parliament would provide political and legislative support to bolstering Russia’s defense capabilities.
"Of course, we must strengthen security and defense capabilities of the country, defend its position on the world stage. I expect that the parliament, all the factions will provide all necessary political and legislative support to this work," Putin said at a State Duma session.
