Over 3,500 Russian servicemen will march across 300 kilometers as part of drills in the Zabaikalsky Territory of Russia’s Siberian Federal District, acting spokesman for the Eastern Military District Vadim Astafyev said.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the spokesman, over 3,500 servicemen and around 100 units of equipment are involved in the drills.

"The compounds, military units and subdivisions involved in the practical tasks will perform combined marches as part of military equipment columns in designated areas across distances of up to 300 kilometers [186 miles]," Astafyev said on Thursday.

More than 10 field control stations have been set up in the Zabaikalsky Territory training area amid the drills.
