VIENNA (Sputnik) — In 2015, Russia began construction of the world's most powerful multifunctional fast neutron research reactor MBIR in the Russian city of Dimitrovgrad, Ulyanovsk Region.
"The idea of the [international] center is simple — it will be the exclusive owner of the resource of the MBIR reactor,” Pershukov said on the sidelines of the 60th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.
Pershukov also added that the headquarters of the center could be placed in Europe and that the registration process is planned for 2017.
