A species has returned to life at the Podolsk circus when several tigon cubs were born. A tigon is a cross between a male tiger and a female lion. The cubs look similar to both parents as they have spots and stripes.

This kind of animal hybrid cannot be found in the wild as tigers and lions live in different parts of the world.

However, most of these lovely and adorable creatures die young or are prone to birth defects.

In 2015, three ligers (male lion and female tiger) were born at the Sochi zoo. When their mother refused to feed them, a black Labrador was called into help raise them.

Hybrid cubs were also born in 2013 in Novosibirsk. Only this time, their mother was also a liger.
