DVORIKI (Russia) (Sputnik) — The sixth patient was diagnosed with Zika virus in Russia, the head of the Russian federal health and epidemic watchdog Rospotrebnadzor said on Sunday.
"As of today, we have six cases of Zika virus, yes, there have been another arrival from the Caribbean, the patient has already recovered, has been discharged and feels good," Anna Popova told reporters.

The current Zika outbreak started in Brazil in the spring of 2015 and has since spread across Latin America and the Caribbean. Imported cases were also reported in several European countries and Asia. In February, the World Health Organization declared the Zika virus a global public health emergency.
The virus is spread by the Aedes mosquito and is almost non-hazardous for adult people but can be dangerous for pregnant women as their babies may be born with neurological disorders, including microcephaly.
