Inflation in Russia in 2016 Likely Below Six Percent

Russian Economy Minister Alexei Ulyukaev said that he believes inflation in Russia will be lower than six percent.

VIENTIANE (Laos) (Sputnik) — The Ministry of Economic Development will revise its forecast of annual inflation in Russia for 2016 as it will most likely be below six percent, Economy Minister Alexei Ulyukaev said Thursday.

The current official forecast of 2016 inflation by the ministry is 6.5 percent.

"The new estimate will most likely be lower than the current one. I believe it will be lower than six percent," Ulyukaev told reporters at an ASEAN ministerial meeting in Laos.
