Uralvagonzavod, the maker of Russia’s state-of-the-art Armata tank, will roll out the prototype of powerful excavator at an upcoming industrial expo, RIA Novosti reported citing the Corporation’s website.

The 23-ton tracked excavator EО-41211А was developed as part of a government high-tech production program at the country’s defense enterprises.

The EО-41211А has a pronounced technological edge over its competitors boasting fuel-saving electronic engine and hydraulic system control.

The excavator will also have better cross-country capability thanks to the function of an automatic in-motion pressure increase.

According to its makers, the EО-41211А will be cheaper than its foreign analogues and, therefore, will enjoy greater demand in the domestic market.

The Innoprom expo will be held in Yekaterinburg from July 11 through 14.

Uralvagonzavod unveiled its top-of-the line T-14 Armata tank and a bevy of armored vehicles based of the Armata Universal Combat platform during last year’s May 9 Victory Day parade in Moscow.

Uralvagonzavod is a major machine building company located in Nizhny Tagil. It is one of the largest scientific and industrial complexes in Russia and the world’s leading manufacturer of main battle tanks.
