Russian Police Arrest US Hacker Suspected of Large-Scale Fraud

Russian police and Interpol agents have arrested a US national wanted by US authorities on suspicion of involvement in stealing clients' data from US companies and in large-scale fraud, the Russian Interior Ministry said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the ministry's spokesman, the 31-year-old hacker and his accomplices have been involved in a fraudulent scheme in trading of shares worth millions of dollars.

"He is suspected of high-tech crimes," ministry's spokeswoman Irina Volk said.
