NOVO-OGARYOVO (Sputnik) — Around two million foreigners currently staying in Russia have been in the country longer than allowed by migration laws, Secretary of Russia's Security Council Nikolai Patrushev said Thursday.
"Last year, in 2015, 58 violations were committed by foreigners. There is an annual growth of five-six percent. This concerns us, of course. At the same time, around two million foreigners have exceeded their stay in Russia. All this suggests that there are challenges and threats that must be handled, and this must be done while taking into account the new realities," Patrushev told reporters.
