Weather Affecting Roscomos Decision to Install Carrier Rocket to Launch Pad

The decision to connect the Soyuz-FG carrier rocket to the Soyuz TMA-20M space capsule on the launch pad at the Baikonur Cosmodrome was not made during the commission’s meeting and information will be available after 16:00 GMT, a Roscosmos spokesman said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Heavy winds continue to blow at the launching pad and are hampering the installation of the rocket to the starting complex.

“An operative meeting was held by the technical management on installing the Soyuz-FG on the starting complex. Monitoring will continue on the current weather conditions and forecasts so that an operative decision is taken on the erection of the carrier rocket. Information on continuing the work according to the launch schedule will be dispersed after 7:00 p.m. Moscow time,” the spokesman said.
