MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is planning to offer Russia cooperation plan for 2016, the key point of which would be holding the humanitarian forum, the head of the ICRC regional delegation to Russia, Belarus and Moldova, Pascal Cuttat said.
"As part of this event, we would like to discuss the current problems and needs of people in conflict zones, as well as challenges that we will face in the future, for example, in cyberspace or in connection with the development of robotics," Cuttat said in an interview with the Russian Kommersant daily.
According to Cuttat, Russia is playing an increasingly important role in international affairs and can influence the processes in the regions where ICRC operates.
Aside from working on the Russian territory, Cuttat said that the committee cooperates with the Russian authorities in the regions, where the parties have common interests and goals, for example, in Ukraine and Syria.
