    According to preliminary data unveiled by the bank of Russia, Russia's foreign debt shrank by some $83.8 billion or 14 percent in 2015.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) Russia's foreign debt shrank by some $83.8 billion or 14 percent in 2015, according to preliminary data unveiled by the bank of Russia on Wednesday.

    The data indicates that the debt totaled $515.2 billion as of January 1, 2016 compared to $599 billion a year ago.
