According to morning trade statistics, Russian ruble was trading at a loss on morning currency exchange market on the backdrop of falling oil prices.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) The Russian ruble was trading at a loss on morning currency exchange market on the backdrop of falling oil prices, with the dollar exchange rate trading at 79.39 rubles and the euro at 87.01, according to morning trade statistics Wednesday.

The ruble lost 82 kopecks to the dollar and 1.29 rubles to the euro.

January futures on Brent oil fell 2.42 percent, which fell in trading to $28.08 per barrel.
