Putin Extends Capital Amnesty in Russia Until July 2016

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on extension of the law on capital amnesty until July 2016 and some changes to its implementation mechanisms.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The decree on the extention of the law on capital amnesty until July 2016 and changes made to the implementation methods were posted on Tuesday on the government's legal information website.

The capital amnesty law has been in force since July 1. According to the law, those declaring their assets and bank deposits are relieved from liability over tax avoidance, asset concealment and creating entities illegally. The amnesty covers only declared assets.
