    Russia’s President Vladimir Putin intends to celebrate the New Year and isn’t planning to take part in any major events during the holidays, his spokesman said.

    Russian President Vladimir Putin is going to celebrate the New Year’s Eve at home with his family, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

    "Until December 30 the president will be working as usual. As for the New Year, Putin will be celebrating it at home with his family, as always," Peskov said, according to RIA Novosti.

    He also added that while the president isn’t planning to take part in any major events before January 6th, Putin has several working meetings scheduled for January 5, 6 and 8.
