MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin and the permanent members of the country's Security Council have discussed the Syrian conflict and means to cut off terrorism financing, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Friday.
"In light of the UN Security Council's adoption of a resolution on the matter, issues regarding cutting the financing of terrorism were discussed during the meeting. An exchange of views also took place on Syrian settlement, including with regard to the negotiations set to take place in New York later today, where Russia will be represented by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov," Peskov said.
