    Finance Minister said that Russian budget may be indirectly affected by the US Federal Reserve’s hike in annual rates, but the Russian government is prepared to react appropriately on any negative changes.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Russian budget may be indirectly affected by the US Federal Reserve’s hike in annual rates, but the Russian government is prepared to react appropriately on any negative changes, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Thursday.

    “We see that the change in the rates have basically have not affected our currency exchange rate, but changes could influence the situation with the budget,” Siluanov said.

    “The Russian budget is influenced indirectly over the price on oil, which has fallen slightly today,” Siluanov added.
