Putin Unaware of New Khodorkovsky Accusations During 2013 Pardoning
MOSCOW (Sputnik) —  On Tuesday, Khodorkovsky, who is now residing in Europe, said via Twitter that he had been called in for questioning on December 11 by Russia's Investigative Committee.

"Tomorrow, nobody will come to the Investigation Committee on behalf of Mikhail Borisovich [Khodorkovsky]," Kulle Pispanen told RIA Novosti.

On Wednesday, Khodorkovsky said he had been informed that on December 11 he would be charged in relation to the 1998 murder of the late Nefteyugansk Mayor Vladimir Petukhov.

Arrested on October 25, 2003, Khodorkovsky spent 10 years in prison for fraud and tax evasion before being pardoned. Following his release, Khodorkovsky was issued a three-month Schengen visa by Switzerland, and later a residence permit.
