MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday instructed Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to open the flight recorders from the Russian military aircraft that was downed by the Turkish Air Force exclusively in front of international experts.
“Putin had in mind the opening of and the investigation into the [black] box so as to jointly set the true trajectory and coordinates of the flight of our bomber before it was attacked, and to complete the full range of work together with foreign inspectors, but which inspectors, who would be invited, naturally, whoever voices his readiness to respond to this invitation, I’m not ready to say,” Peskov told journalists.
Peskov said that the Russian Defense Ministry would make the decision on whom to invite.
