MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "Today we say that military medicine and medicine in Russia on the whole achieved considerable success not only in case of an individual, but also in the approach to military assistance provision," Maj. Gen. of the Medical Service Alexander Fisun said at a press conference dedicated to the first Russian transplantation of organic facial tissue carried out in May.
Fisun noted that more than 100 advanced treatment methods were used in the Russian military medicine, adding that several years ago high-technology medical care had not been available to the Russian Armed Forces.
According to Fisun, advanced technologies were used by military medics to assist some 15,000 people in 2015.
