    Russian Defense Ministry said that Strategic Missile Forces have carried out a training launch of a Topol intercontinental ballistic missile from the northern Plesetsk cosmodrome.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) Russia's Strategic Missile Forces have carried out a training launch of a Topol intercontinental ballistic missile from the northern Plesetsk cosmodrome, the Russian Defense Ministry said Friday.

    "During the drill, the reliability of the transmission of training and combat orders was tested throughout the chain of command, from the National Defense Management Center to the command posts of units and formations," the ministry said in a statement.
