    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Over 1,000 members of Russia's Airborne Troops have started a large-scale exercise in the country's Pskov region near the borders with Estonia and Latvia, a spokesman for Russia's Defense Ministry said Tuesday.

    "Around 1,200 paratroopers landed near the cities of Pskov and Ostrov," Lt. Col. Evgeny Meshkov told reporters.
