    The death toll in the collapse of Russian Airborne Troops barracks in the Russian City of Omsk has reached 18 people, another 19 are in hospital, the Defense Ministry's spokesperson said.

    "As of 08:30 a.m. on July 13, 37 soldiers have been removed from the rubble, 18 of them were dead, the search for five servicemen continues," Russian Defense Ministry's spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said.

    Nineteen soldiers were hospitalized, he added.

    According to him, the entire staff of the training center has been tested.

    Mistakes in the construction technology were named as a possible reason for the tragedy that occurred on Sunday.
