MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At a session of Russia’s upper house of parliament, Kosachev said that "at least three US foundations, the MacArthur Foundation, Open Society Foundations and the National Endowment for Democracy, registered as foreign agents, have transferred money in 2013-2015 to Russian NGOs."

The politician stressed that the companies involved were "our nongovernmental organizations" leading political activities.

The Federation Council will consider the creation of a "Stop List" of non-commercial organizations on Wednesday.
