Russia Demands Release of 2 Alleged Servicemen Captured in Eastern Ukraine
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Defense Ministry said that the detained are Russian citizens, but are not serving in the Russian Armed Forces.

The Russian Embassy in Kiev demanded a meeting of consular officials with two Russian nationals recently detained in eastern Ukraine's Lugansk region to provide them with urgent medical aid, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

"The Russian embassy in Kiev has demanded a meeting of consular officials and the detained Russian citizens in order to provide them with the necessary aid in accordance with international law", the ministry said in a statement on its website.
