Soldiers of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) practiced for some 10 hours daily in preparation for the military parade held on the Victory Day in Moscow's Red Square to honor the memory of those who fought in the war against fascism.

Speaking to China National Radio on Sunday, Renmin University Professor Jin Canrong explained Russia and China's common positions regarding the Second World War, noting that the Chinese leadership's participation in May's victory celebrations in Moscow signifies the high level of Russian-Chinese relations. - Sputnik International
Why China and Russia See Eye-to-Eye on Victory Day
A total of 102 PLA servicemen divided into three units, representing PLA's army, navy and air force, took part in the largest-ever Victory Day parade.

The soldiers were marching at 120 paces per minute to the sounds of the popular Russian song Katyusha, according to CCTV.

"Their feet, rifles, hats and hands are all required to be aligned, and the size of their strides should be the same," the media outlet noted.

"While it may look impressive, the marching is a result of grueling training sessions of about ten hours every day," CCTV said.

Chinese President Xi Jinping was one of nearly 30 world leaders, who took part in the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of victory in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.
